Something that bounces can represent a person, object, or situation that seems flexible, active, reactive, resilient. An object that bounces back to you can represent something you gave away that has come back, or the return of something (a person in a relationship after you broke up, your turn in a conversation or dialog, an assignment you hand in and expect to get back after it's graded, a bounced check, etc.).
