When something is considered to be quaint it is old-fashioned but with a charm of its own. The spiritual significance of this is that ideas may be outmoded but still worth pursuing for their intrinsic value. Many folk tales are seen as quaint yet have within them a grain of truth or self-awareness. Any object seen as quaint in dreams bears further scrutiny in order to understand its relevance. We may be dealing with behaviour patterns from the past which are charming but out of date. On a mundane level an image that is quaint is perhaps a curiosity of interest but not much use. In today's technological age, dreaming of an old typewriter, for instance, might highlight an antipathy to new technology.
