Dreambook is an online dream dictionary that has been running since 2010. It brings together thousands of dream symbols and interpretations from dozens of classic and folk dream books. The site is available in 15 languages.
Where the interpretations come from
The interpretations come from well-known dream books — Miller, Freud, Vanga, Tsvetkov, Miss Hasse and others. Each one is shown with its source, so you can compare how different authors and traditions explain the same dream.
The Dreambook dream dictionary
Classic dream books often contradict each other or give just one short sentence. That is why we are gradually writing our own interpretations — “The Dreambook dream dictionary”. Here is how we work:
- We gather the interpretations of a symbol from all the dream books on the site.
- We pick out the meanings that recur across sources, and separately the contradictory ones.
- We write the text to a single structure: in general, for a woman, for a man, dream details, psychological reading, advice.
- The text is drafted with the help of artificial intelligence, then checked and edited by our editors.
- We fix mistakes and expand interpretations based on readers' letters.
Who runs the site
Dreambook is an independent project. We do not present ourselves as psychologists or psychics: our aim is to bring interpretations together in one place and explain them in plain language.
Important
Dream interpretations are for entertainment and informational purposes only and do not replace advice from a psychologist or doctor. If a dream keeps coming back and troubles you, please talk to a specialist.
