The Vietnamese more often say "chicken", which the Rooster does not much care for. The Japanese speak of the "rooster", for this dreamer takes himself seriously and is fond of flattery. The Rooster does not mince his words and can at times be sharp, even aggressive. This would hardly pass without clashes if his victims did not put such behaviour down to frankness and eccentricity. Nor are they mistaken: the Rooster really does say what he thinks. But behind that frankness lies a tendency towards selfishness. The vulnerability of others leaves him entirely cold, and he sees no reason to spare them. Such a trait, of course, bars his way to a diplomatic career.
