In the family Aquarians strive to create a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. Equality and truthfulness in relations between family members matter to them. Although at home they as a rule play the leading role, these are people to whom the opinion of every family member matters, and they do not try to suppress anyone or impose their will on others. Aquarians love acquiring unusual and out-of-the-ordinary things for their home, but they do so less for themselves than for their family and friends, who often come to visit. It matters greatly to them that the household should have plenty of modern appliances: in the kitchen – juicers, dishwashers, the latest model of cooker; in the living room – a home cinema, a computer, audio equipment, and a telephone in every room. They do not like spending much time on household chores, so they try to acquire as many useful things as possible, both for comfort and for practical needs. If they buy a vacuum cleaner, it must be multifunctional, able not only to clean the carpets but to wash the floors as well. Their home must be convenient and up to date. Aquarians are hospitable hosts and love receiving guests, whom they treat to a variety of refined dishes. And once Aquarians have learned the tastes of all their loved ones, they cook only the dishes those people like. What matters to them is not only merriment and entertainment but shared interests, both among family members and among friends. They do not like saving money and putting it aside for a rainy day. Aquarians sometimes spend more than the family would like. As for clothes, they try to buy for themselves and their family unusual, extravagant and expensive things so as not to blend in with the crowd. As for family problems, the whole responsibility and the hope of a right decision is as a rule placed on Aquarius, because the household knows that they do everything for the good of the family, taking common interests into account and infringing on no one's rights. Towards children Aquarians are very good parents who try to instil in them independence and honesty.
